針對發生在韓國的MERS疫情，國防部發言人羅紹和今天(3號)表示，為了防範於未然，國防部長高廣圻已經要求軍醫局和相關聯參單位，在6月1號上午就召開「防疫整備會議」，就國外疫情可能發展、國軍防處應變作為，以及國防部應變指揮中心編組等事項，實施先期整備與作業研討。
羅紹和表示，各國軍醫院及三軍衛材供應處已完成防疫物資檢整，還有負壓隔離病房整備，以及N95口罩、防護衣等防疫裝備，可滿足國軍防疫需求及支援政府防疫任務。
